About Ben
Ben's Bio - Excerpt from, The Boy Who Didn't Have a Family, by Ben Wensley
My name is Ben. I was born July 2nd, 2000. But before before I was born and still in my birth mom's tummy she drank a lot of beer and smoked cigarettes. That did some damage to my brain so I have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FASD). After I was born my mom couldn't take care of me. A lot of stuff happen to me, so the police came and took me to different places. I was in 12 different homes, and people were really mean to me, they were cussing at me a spitting on me and calling me bad names and bullying me. After that I went to a place called Child Help and they were helping me a lot of problems of life, helping me learn, and helping me to find a family. After that I went to a family that said they wanted me, but then they said they couldn't
take care of me. Then another family came and said they wanted me and we had a lot of visits and good times and then they took me to their home and i went to a school called Highland Park Elementary. Then after a while I came home from school and there was a letter that said I was adopted and my new name was Benjamin Noel Lionel Wensley and then I had a big family with a mom and dad and two sisters.

No Bounds is a college that Special Needs people go to. It is a very special and cool place. They teach how to get a job and how to count money. They talk about how to be responsible. Also we go to the Gold's Gym. We workout every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. They have incredible people at Gold’s Gym. No Bounds has incredible people that go there. Friends are very nice and the teachers are kind and helpful to us. They do special things for us, like going to Red Robin and playing in the Special Olympics. A great thing No Bounds does is Feet Meet. Feet Meet is a fundraiser for disabled kids so they can walk again. We like Special Needs people to come to learn about them and learn about themselves.
